A stunning hand forged san mai style knife . The core is 52100 (ball bearing steel) carbon steel with 20 layers of “damascus” steel as a cladding. There is also a thin layer of copper between the core and the cladding layers . San mai is a Japanese sword making technique that allows for a hard steel core that stays sharp and the softer jacket either side allowing for some flexibility. Cumai is a name given to sanmai using copper
The hidden tang handle is made from yellow box timber with copper and G10 spacers
