A stunning hand forged san mai chef knife . The Damscus core is 40 layers of 1084 and 15n20 carbon steel then a layer of copper, a layer of 1084, more copper and then another 20 layers of 1084/15n20 damascus steel as a cladding. . San mai is a Japanese sword making technique that allows for a hard steel core that stays sharp and the softer jacket either side allowing for some flexibility. Cumai is a name given to sanmai knives using copper
The full tang handle is made of mulga timber with copper pins.
