The damscus core is 60 layers of 1084 and 15n20 carbon steel then a layer of copper, a layer of 1084, more copper and then another 40 layers of 1084/15n20 damascus steel as a cladding. . San mai is a Japanese sword making technique that allows for a hard steel core that stays sharp and the softer jacket either side allowing for some flexibility. Cumai is a name given to sanmai knives using copper

the full tang handle is made of ebony timber with copper pins

Blade length is 205 mm (8 inches) and its 46 mm deep at the heel. overall length is 335 mm . the spine is 2.5 mm wide near the handle with a distal taper to less than 1mm near the tip . Weight is about 185 gm nice balance
