A unique hand forged chef knife. Crafted from a recycled sawmill blade with a full tang black bean timber handle with brass pins

The blade is 165 mm ( 6 1/2 inches) long and 39 mm wide at the heel and has a very straight cutting edge. Overall length is 285 mm , nice balance 2.9 mm wide along the spine at the handle tapering to under 1 mm near the tip , about 140 gm.

Please read the care instruction page before purchase. Being made from old saws this is carbon steel ( AKA black steel) , not stainless steel so will tarnish and develop a patina with time and may rust if not cared for. Thank you.
