A stunning hand forged san mai paring knife . The core is 20 layer damascus steel (1084/15n20) steel and 1084 steel as a cladding. There is also a thin layer of copper between the layers . San mai is a Japanese sword making technique that allows for a hard steel core that stays sharp and the softer jacket either side allowing for some flexibility. cumai is a name given to sanmai using copper
The hidden tang handle is made from bull oak timber with copper and G10 spacers
Blade length is 120 mm ( 4 ¾ inches) and its 32 mm deep at the heel. overall length is 250 mm . The handle is 120mm long, 20mm wide and 25mm deep
